Women & Financial Literacy

Often times we as women face challenges in life that affects our ability to be financially secure. We tend to shift our focus from spending time educating ourselves on retirement, 401k, financial management and generally the basic functionalities of financial literacy. Our distraction from equipping ourselves to become financial literate isn’t intentional by any means; instead, with maintaining the household, caring for our little ones, and providing emotional support to our family members- we are often distracted from understanding and learning the importance of financial management, and overall, financial literacy. This article outlines some necessary steps we as women can take in order to become financially literate and aware. With a willingness to educate yourselves, we can be on our way to becoming financially literate.
